At Women In Distress of Broward County, Inc., volunteers are vital to our organization in helping to keep families safe as they rest and rebuild their violence-free life. We couldn't do what we do without our loyal and dedicated volunteers.
WID has over 300 volunteers, including our Board of Directors and the dedicated members of the community who donate their time to serve others. Some volunteers donate time on a regular basis while others participate in special projects throughout the year. Volunteers assist with support groups, crisis hotline counseling, criminal justice support/ advocacy, and personal advocacy.
