Women In Distress Auxiliary (WIDA) is a fundraising auxiliary of Women In Distress of Broward County, Inc. whose mission is to raise funds to support Women In Distress of Broward County, Inc. to Stop Abuse For Everyone (SAFE) through education, intervention, and advocacy. WIDA promotes awareness and provides financial support through funds raised at their annual gala and membership functions throughout the year.
WIDA was founded in 2004 and since then has raised over $383,000 for Women In Distress. With loyalty, friendship and dedication of the WIDA Board and members, these funds are raised through a variety of events including an annual gala in October, semi-annual membership drives, an annual Bazaar and monthly social mixers.
Funds raised through WIDA events go directly towards assisting victims of domestic violence who have found shelter and peace at Women In Distress of Broward County, Inc.
